About me

Hi, I’m Joshua Raymond Rielo, a rising Junior at Ringling College of Art and Design for Film.

My passion for storytelling traces back to my early childhood.

Growing up in Tampa as a first-generation child to Cuban immigrant parents has shaped my artistic pursuits. At 5 years old, I found myself consistently drawing and creating and as I progressed into middle school, my interests expanded into video creation and editing.

I honed my skills at home, self-learning on my family PC. But, High school marked a pivotal moment as I broadened my knowledge and began producing short films and comedic videos. I earned accolades such as the Silver Key for the Scholastic Award for Art and Writing, along with securing podium spots in FSPA Districts. I later achieved certification in Adobe Premiere Pro from 2019 to 2021 further solidifying my foundation of editing and understanding the software as a whole.

During high school, I seized opportunities to gain practical experience by filming for Jobsite Theater using a professional-grade camera rig and filming my first advertisement with a local shop.

Currently, at Ringling College, I aim to deepen my understanding of the film and advertising industry while nurturing my creative vision.

Through my unrelenting dedication to my craft and profound storytelling abilities, I am hopeful to make an impact on the world of film.
